Vnesheconombank (Bank for Foreign Economic Activity) Will Consider Question of Financing of «Atlantis-Pak» Investment Project

It was announced by news agency “Interfax” on 3rd of July. According to agency’s information Arcady Dvorkovich, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia proposed to consider an appeal of Ivan Savvidi, chairman of the Board of Directors of «AGROCOM GROUP» about financing the project for production of barrier film for food package worth 3 billion RUBLES.

According to the source from one economic department, the Deputy Prime Minister asks to consider the appeal “on a priority basis of given issue in the frameworks of import substitution policy and support of export line of the country”.

The project implies building of production complex for production of barrier film on the territory of «Atlantis-Pak» company with productive capacity 16 thousand tons per year. At present moment there are no manufacturers of barrier film in Russia.

It is expected that during the investment stage of the project will be carried out building and installation works estimated at 425 million RUBLES, and more than 2, 5 billion RUBLES equipment will be bought. In the structure of capital part of company’s own money will amount to 20%.

Maximum capacity utilization will be achieved in 5 years after the start of production.

The necessity of appeal to the government the company explains by the fact that “realization of this project is impossible without partnership with financial structure”, such as Bank for Foreign Economic Activity.

According to the experts people in Europe use 9- and 11-layer barrier film. In Russia there are 3- and 5-layer barrier films. Consumption of laminated and coextruded barrier films is estimated at 47, 5 thousand tons which is 12% higher than 2013. Anticipation for 2015 is 51, 3 thousand tons. By 2020 this figure can increase up to 89, 5 thousand tons.
